Peter McCranie

Bio: Peter A. McCranie, M.D., FACOG, is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist who received his medical education at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia. Having recently retired from private practice, he lives in Jacksonville, Florida, and stays busy running and managing Women's Health Centers at the V.A. Outpatient Clinic in Jacksonville and the state mental hospital in Macclenny, Florida. Dr. McCranie is well-versed in office gynecology and routine gynecologic surgery.

Reflections on a recent Honduran trip: "The trip was an overwhelming experience. To immerse myself into the daily medical life of these people was to dramatically remind this physician of my calling and to remind this advantaged American of my global obligation. S.M.A.R.T. is very well-organized, their leadership very friendly and helpful, and their sense of mission strong and high. I look forward to my next trip."
